Terms & Conditions

​

This Agreement sets out the rights and responsibilities between ourselves and you, the client.

It is for customers who commission It's My Magazine (IMM) services for their own personal

or corporate use and/or on behalf of their clients. 


Payment

​

  1. To commence the commission, client to transfer the non-refundable deposit either online, via a bank transfer or telephone payment.  Full balance to be cleared prior to print date or in the case of e-versions, before final sign off. 

  2. We reserve the right to charge for costs and expenses incurred in recovering late payments, and to charge interest on overdue amounts at the rate in force pursuant to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 as at the due date. It is the client’s responsibility to adhere to the agreed payment plan.

  3. Prices valid for 14 days from invoice. 

  4. With long lead times, all prices are subject to change without prior notice beyond 24 months. However, we endeavour to regularly update all publicly available sources of price information to ensure that you have accurate information available to you when you order.

 

Content

​

  1. Client to submit their approved and authorised photographs in high resolution jpeg format unless otherwise agreed.

  2. Any client print deadlines to be specified as soon as possible.

  3. If approved, client will endeavour to submit all additional photographs (from guests, staff etc.) in a timely manner according to these timelines. 

  4. Where a faster deadline has been agreed and the client fails to submit content on time, design and delivery costs may be liable to change to accommodate express delivery costs. 

  5. If client deadlines are missed, It’s My Magazine bears no responsibility for missing agreed deadlines.

 

 Redemption of commission

​

  1. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all magazines to be redeemed within 24 months of initial deposit payment.

  2. Any delay on this may be subject to additional fees.

 

Discounts and offers


If the client has received a marketing discount, unless agreed in writing, the following conditions will need to be fulfilled:

  1. The client will introduce It’s My Magazine to three potential clients, providing emails and phone numbers.

  2. The client has agreed that It’s My Magazine can utilise their magazine for marketing purposes and will provide a 30 second testimonial video and short written quote for website use.

  3. The client magazine to be utilised for marketing purposes.  This includes the website, flyers, posters, wedding shows, social media or any other marketing collateral.

  4. If client changes their mind about being a marketing magazine after receiving the discount, client is liable to pay the full cost before any action to remove them is made by It’s My Magazine.

  5. If the client has agreed to lower the cost by providing print ready editorial (thereby omitting the need for a copywriter) the client must provide print ready copy within reasonable timeframes as determined by their deadlines.

 

Design

​

  1. PDF drafts and design files of client magazine remain the sole property of It’s My Magazine and can not be used/reproduced in part or in its entirety.

  2. As standard, It’s My Magazine always completes each magazine with a back page utilising the client’s image and displaying the It’s My Magazine contact details and logo at the end of each commission, similarly they will also be included on the Contents page.  For this to be amended or omitted, an extra fee may apply and this needs to be agreed upfront.

  3. If Roving Reporter discount fee is applied, full travel cost are to be covered. For locations outside of London, cost will need to be recalculated.  Minimum time frame for Roving Reporter is three hours, maximum ten hours.

  4. A personalised Dropbox account will be set up for client to upload any information they’d like considered for their magazine heirloom.  Client must be aware that any content uploaded to Dropbox may be utilised within the magazine by the design team. If client then later changes their mind, an additional cost to cover time may be charged dependent upon IMM’s discretion.

  5. The editorial data capture forms will be dispatched which the client will endeavour to complete within a timely manner. It is the client’s responsibility to complete the editorial data capture form as fully as possible as it is the basis of their articles.

  6. A copy writer will be assigned and the project will be allocated to a graphic designer, who will start the design of required flat plan, theme, aesthetic and layout. 

  7. For an additional fee, a professional sub editor can also be supplied upon client’s request.

  8. When client has first draft check, amendments cover the spelling of names, that the correct name accompanies the relevant image, text and messages assigned to correct names.  Up to five images can be replaced with client’s alternative.  Amendments do not include redesign, graphic design or layout changes. All text has to be double checked by the client unless a sub editor has been appointed.

  9. Any additional enhancements, updates, editions or amendments may be subject to further charges.

  10. The design fee per page will be the same regardless of the page dimensions.


Commitment

​

It is the client’s responsibility to get approvals and authorisation for all photos submitted.

It is the client’s responsibility to submit their content (images and editorial) within a timely manner.  If despite repeated requests content is still outstanding beyond six months after the client event, the client may be subject to additional fees (as the designer/journalist fees may change past the approved time and IMM is not liable for any additional costs.

 

Digital publishing

​

The client’s magazine will be accessible for first draft checks and beyond on Issuu, a magazine platform to which the client will be provided with a direct link to view their heirloom.  

Client will also have their magazine displayed digitally on Issuu, a public platform so it’s sharable amongst their families and friends unless specified in writing.

Data Protection


We may use personal information which we hold about you to provide our products and services to you, for credit control and market research purposes and to inform you about our products and services, legal developments and training sessions or events which we believe may be of interest to you. You are free to unsubscribe at any time.

Receipt of your deposit recognises your agreement of the Terms and Conditions set out and constitutes a firm booking.  Terms and conditions are liable to change.

conditions set forth within this agreement. I am 18 years of age or older.
